I'd be pissed to be a Blue Jacket's fan.

Lindstorm, Percy, Brewer, Carrick, Erixon, Leivo, MacWilliam, Sill, Jokinen, Granberg, Brennan, Frattin, Ashton, McKegg, Bodie, Bailey... ...none of these players have more points as a Leaf this season then Kessel put up tonight.

I think the Leafs could still be buying there way into being competitive if it weren't for the salary cap.  The issue is the Leafs system needed to be completely revamped to do so.  This might be the first time the culture is changing so much the organization gets it right.

With Ottawa only getting one point tonight, how would that make Leaf fans feel if Ottawa missed the playoffs by that one point?

If the Leafs don't win McDavid, they'll be a laughing stock that can't do anything right.

Carolina wins McDavid.  Nobody talks about Carolina winning the pick, so it'll happen because it's out of the blue.

My wife's aunt worked for a very rich business/owner.  Private jet, limo, 30,000 square foot home.  They gave up the season tickets because they weren't worth it.  Clients weren't impressed. Personally I wouldn't want the tickets at the best of times.  But Toronto is a pretty boring place...

I checked Twitter before going to bed.  Leafs played (did not know that), Leafs lost.  Nobody upset.  Tank baby tank!

The only way Kessel might go into the corner against Ottawa is if he spotted a hamburger.

IMHO, the Leaf's decided that everyone including Kessel had to start playing with defensive accountability.  Now either Kessel can't generate offence, or will not generate offence without 'cheating' his defensive responsibilities. 

Carolina is pulling out all the stops to get McDavid.

My kids don't watch hockey, want to play it, and say the Montreal Canadian are their favourite because their friends like them and Montreal wins and Toronto always loses.  And this doesn't bother me.  My son asked me, "Why do you like the Toronto Maple Leafs?"  And the only answer I could give...

Do you think Shanahan believes/верить in Russian players after his time with Detroit?  Wouldn't be surprised to see he's got the Leafs scouting pretty intensely over there.  Maybe the curse of Ballard lives on and can only be broken by having Russian players on the team.  Gilmour made the Leafs...

I think my entire life of being a pessimist stems from being a Leaf's fan.

Does anyone know how much of Nonis's work has been at the instruction of those above him?  I can't fault the guy if he was told what to do rather then thinking for himself.

I would like to see one year contracts, salary cap, and no draft.
