Leafs will get Babcock, and do well enough to make the playoffs, and get eliminated.  Making sure the Leaf's legacy of never drafting a star player stays true.

If the Leafs were to acquire Edmonton's 16th overall pick.  Who would you want to draft at that position? Phaneuf + Connor Brown for Darnell Nurse and 16th overall.

Although Crouse is a -7 in four OHL playoff games while Gauthier is a +4 in 13 QMJHL playoff games.

You have Iafrate going from playing 10 games for the Belleville Bulls to being on the Leaf's blueline. Look at P.K. Subban, he went from Belleville, then played 77 games for Hamilton. The Leafs rushed everyone in those days, and it showed.

Crosby had more ice-time, maintained a point-per-game pace, and played 13 more games in the playoffs.  Maybe he's in better shape?

In the previous season, Kessel scored 3 goals and had 4 assists in the final 16 games.  Was a '+' player for six of those games.  He hasn't finished the last two seasons out very well.  Whether that be physical or mental conditioning, who knows?  Maybe he just wants to get down to Florida and...

One huge difference is the Salary Cap.  Getting Forsberg, Duschene, Huffman, Ricci, Hextall, and Simon today might of handcuffed the franchise.  The Oilers biggest problem is going to be affording their team.
