    I bet the team performs about the same.  They got a little bit better with Carlye over Wilson, but I don't think they are going to be much better.  There was a very good tweet that said they are an average team just barely over 500.  What do you expect?

    I predict it wasn't his last as coach.  Based on them firing his assistants but keeping him as coach suggests they didn't see any better coaches this past summer and want to wait to next summer before making any big decisions.

    Yeah but the leafs made the playoffs under carlyle and they didn't under wilson.  That stat is more important then possession numbers.

    Magnus Paarjarvi-Svensson cleared waivers from st louis.  Top ten pick still pretty young.  I'm surprised a team didn't make a low risk high reward move and claim this guy.

    How come Dallas was able to pull off deals for seguin and spezza but we can't seem to trade for a good centre?

    I'm talking about the McCabes, Kaberles, Carlo's, Ian Whites, Brenden Bells, Stralmans, Reily's, Gardiners.  The guys that put points up but are shaky in the own end vastly out weigh the converse.  This is why the GAA and shots against are consistent problems.

    And what success have the leafs had with the 'mobile defense corps' (asa no defense blueline)?  They have made the playoffs once since the lockout yet consistently have high point totals for their blueliners and also high GAA and shots against.

    You know you have a point.  Bozak never seems to get criticized for anything in the media.  But then again they don't really criticized any leaf other then kessel, phaneuf and the goalies.  I guess you have to piss the right people off to get criticized by the Toronto media.

    He plays with lupul when healthy and he ain't a black hole.  Also Clarkson is productive this season.  He has 6 goals putting him just behind kessel, JVR and bozak in the goal scoring department.

    Has he played any games for St Louis yet?  I can't see any stats on tsn or hockeydb and he isn't listed as injured on the site.  It would be funny if our number 2 defense man is a healthy scratch on a good team.
