Game 9: Hurricanes @ Leafs 7:00PM Monday on SportsNet

You could see that one coming. Can't really blame Reimer there.

Game 9: Hurricanes @ Leafs 7:00PM Monday on SportsNet

All things considered, a pretty good period for the Leafs. They've had multiple good scoring chances - this game can easily be 3-0 right now. Reimer's been shaky at times but has made the big saves when he needed to. Just wish the Leafs could get their PP going, it's been brutal tonight again.

Not sure, but he skated off holding his arm. Looked like he was in pain on the bench.

This year's lackluster PP really makes me long for the days of Kaberle to McCabe. THEY were awesome for a little while there.

    And now Kadri's hurt. oy.

That was the best single shift of any Leaf in recent memory. I loved Tim Brent. He's a UFA this off-season, Nonis should have him on the phone.

    2012 NFL Thread

Saw this on The Onion about Phil Simms, thought it was pretty funny: http://www.theonion.com/articles/phil-simms-spends-super-bowl-broadcast-talking-up,31144/ Really not a fan of Phil Simms. He reminds me of Tim Mccarver and that's not a good thing.

    The Official 2012 MLB Thread

The Yankees have virtually the same roster as last season except for Swisher and Martin leaving. Youkilis will be a better 3B to fill in for A-Rod than Chavez, plus they have Rivera and the under-appreciated Gardner back. Throw in a really good (if healthy) rotation and the Yankees aren't quite...

    The Official Complaint Thread!

I never understood that trend. I remember buying a Jays hat over a year ago and upon showing it to a friend, he commented that I shouldn't have taken the sticker off. Um, I don't leave the size sticker on my jeans after I buy them. Why would I leave the size sticker on my hat as well?

    James van Riemsdyk

Burke's downfall was the Kessel trade and especially his free agent signings. His other trades were very, very good. The Phaneuf trade, the Lupul/Gardiner trade, and the JVR trade all look like highway robberies. He got Colborne, a 1st, and a 2nd for Kaberle and a 1st and a 3rd for Versteeg...

    The Habs Thread - Reloaded

Baseball players do crazy handshakes/high fives all time and it doesn't seem to hinder the "team concept" or whatever the hell Therrien was talking about. What a dumb idea.

Say Hello to SportsNet's New Ratings Weapon

Yeah...people were tweeting up a storm about her after the Leafs game last night. FWIW, she seems to tweet very suggestive pics from time to time. http://bustedcoverage.com/2011/06/02/6-greatest-sports-reporter-erin-hawksworth-twitpics-of-all-time/

Just because you disagree with something doesn't mean what I'm saying consists of "inconsistencies and fallacies" haha.

    Phil Kessel

Maybe the Leafs could lose a close game against Boston instead of losing in a blowout. That would be a start.

The 2012-2013 Toronto Raptors thread: My Name is Jonas

Bargnani is a real conundrum for this team. He's not defensively savvy, doesn't rebound, and decides when he wants to show up. In limited time this season (21 games), he was having his worst season since 07/08. Combine that with his injury, and you really have no idea what sort of value you can...

The 2012-2013 Toronto Raptors thread: My Name is Jonas

Calderon was a leader by example, not a guy who would get the players fired up so to say. He was the undisputed leader in the locker room and regardless of how good or bad he was on the court that's going to be missed. To quote Paul Jones, someone's going to have to step up in that locker room...

When you have Ryan Hamilton, Mike Kostka, and Tyler Bozak playing on an NHL PP you know there's a problem.

The 2012-2013 Toronto Raptors thread: My Name is Jonas

Interesting. I think Andrea's time is just up in Toronto. The fans have gone sour on him and by the sounds of that quotation he's gone sour on the city as well. Bargnani's  reached the end of his rope - it's time for Primo to go.

The 2012-2013 Toronto Raptors thread: My Name is Jonas

Calderon had been there for 8 years. At 31 he was actually the oldest player on the team and lead by example. He never complained, always gave 110%, and lead by example. I don't think that should be undervalued, although the much bigger loss here is Calderon's play on the court. He was having a...
