I believe I said 5-6 is a fair payout for him from us. not once did I say his upper limit.  If you want to poke at someone learn to read first.  And what makes you think my agency never took off.  ;D

I believe 5-6 is fair market value for him. Remember he is not a great two way player, and if he was, yes he could demand a better price. I think he would be nuts to pass up on the leafs at this point.  A slight under payment for a few solid shots at a cup is IMO  the way to go.

What do you mean?  We are one of the best in the league, so we should be able to play with them. I think we are already a top ten team, and will be for some time.

I think if we can sign him for 5-6 mil per on say a five yr plan, then we will keep him. Otherwise he can say goodbye to all the cups we will get in the next five to ten years, and go elsewhere for the cash. I don't think we will be held hostage for players unless they are crazy good.

Don't expect much as he will be rusty in his first game back.  Maybe it will take a few games to get going.

mcBackup was the only player that showed up so he gets my 1st and 2nd. The rest deserve a four hour circle skate.

That game just sucked. The leafs played like it was 2015, and them jerseys... I hope I never ever have  to see them again, that was just to hard to watch. I hope they put in an effort next game. They just looked so lost.

I am so glad we did not spend the farm for a quick fix. I like the defense we have coming up from our farm system.  Our goalie and forwards will get us to the second round this year and that was the plan, so I for one am good with this.

Am not sure i believe it, as Lou just don't let this kind of stuff out until its done.

Think OTT would want JVR and a package.

I like this being over the limit thing.  This I think will keep everyone sharp with players capable of jumping in there spot, kicking at there heels, makes for a more determined team. I look forward to see how they play TB knowing there spots are not a free ride, and could be lost with a bad outing.

That was a poor game for the Leafs effort wise. I believe Boston got away with one, as our team was a step or two off there game. Maybe it was due to the lineup changes, maybe not.  Maybe it was just that we were on our third in four nights, or not.  None the less we had better make up for it...

And looking at the other side of the coin.... Maybe he just wants more spots for the young kids of our country to have a better shot at growing there game.

Rielly out in my opinion is a good thing. He can take the time to heal, while at the same time we can see what we have in the three guys fighting for a spot.  Its make or break time for these three. As well it will be a telltale sign to see if a trade is needed for defense.
