i'm amazed by this team so far.  We do not look like the 8th seed playing the first.  Tonight's game could have went either way but only because these teams have looked so even so far.  at one point in OT they showed the shots..50/50 it seemed appropriate.

I know they're very tight lipped ..but is anything known about soshnikov?  i know he's not one of the top nine but I feel like they made it out like his injury was minor when it happened and he never came back.  I also think our pk has suffered a little without him.

this seems like deja vu  ..didn't ottawa one year get in as the first seed and us as the 8th?  I seem to remember nobody picking the leafs to win that year either.

It is pretty scary when someone who's proven themselves to be mentally unstable and has a poor grasp of the world at large is given access to a nuclear arsenal. 

we have no business winning this one ...but i expect washington to do well just about every year and they fizzle out .  so why not this year?  i'll be unhappy no matter when and how we go out ..but i honestly take all of this as bonus hockey..good on the leafs for their season

nothing i can say can stop you from feeling that way ...though apparently even if the leafs lost all three games they'd still have a 66% chance of making it ...but i will say if you've been following this team you know it won't fail for the same reasons.  when is the last time you saw a leaf...

a game in regulation definitely but i'm still torn on who i want to get the points.  Assuming the leafs can get higher than the wildcard spot i'd rather they played ottawa at this point over boston.  getting ahead of myself a bit i know...

should be a loss but hard to count toronto out..also i feel like washington is pretty close to clinching ..they might not be as sharp.

I think it's unfortunate.  Outside of the olympics hockey doesn't really have a good best on best tournament.  It's hard to get too worked up over a fight between the IOC and the NHL but I do kind of feel as fans we get a little ripped off. edit: added a word

Yeah, I'm sure every coach has his detractors.  I was just surprised i wasn't seeing this one in more places because this is the kind of thing the media generally goes crazy with.  I thought it was more interesting he felt now was the time to go back into it?
