This is fantastic news, even though I, most people here and most people in the sports world were convinced he wasn't coming here. First the Clarkson trade and now Babcock.  I'll be the first to say anything is possible now.

In case anyone missed it, Ovechkin is running over to the world championships in order to help his country in the semi finals of the tournament. He just finished playing in game 7 of the second round of the playoffs.  Good on him.

As for marner and Strome, neither of them can play in the AHL next year.  They would both have to return to junior.  I'm not sure what Hanifin's options are next year other than returning to Boston College if he doesn't make the NHL.

The horrible rumour I saw was Kessel and Kadri for #5 and Semin or something like that.  Just horrible.

This is the biggest dilemma - if Hanifin goes 3rd, who do the Leafs take.  If the skill level is considered to be the same, I'm on board with Strome - the Leafs should take the guy with the size and the guaranteed centre.  But I don't know if the skill level is necessarily the same from what...

That's so MLSE...I mean its not even funny any more. For anyone who saw the games... What's the word on Percy?  Did he look good upon his return?  Was he actually hurt? How did the future leafs (Nylander, Brown etc.) look?

What are people's thoughts of strome's play in the playoffs?  5th in playoff scoring but obviously is playing 2nd fiddle.  Is he hurting himself with this performance, such that it is now clearly a hanifin / marner debate for the 4th pick?

I can't speak for everyone, but i think everyone has their own values on players.  And having those pre-defined values can lead to either happiness or disappointment when a player is moved and his actual value is finally defined for everyone to see.  That is just natural and what being a fan is...

Sorry - I meant team success.  Kessel is the best player here and the Leafs have not had team success.  He himself has been quite successful.
