That's a good way of looking at it. From my perspective, the management group has put together an entertaining, competitive team that has been fun to watch this season. Sure, I hope they do some winning in the playoffs, but I'm satisfied with the plan and the product regardless.

Heh, I know what you mean. IMO - there's two ways that the leafs lose this series. Vasilevski, or the leafs core beating themselves by not being able to let go of their demons. It'll be a wild ride regardless.

Ekholm was the ideal add for the oilers. They're capable of outscoring their problems, even in the playoffs, and now they have less problems to outscore. Oil in 5.

They've got a surprising amount of cap space in the offseason. I would think Dubas could be appealing for both sides. People keep talking about how Dubas is the one sweating; I think that narrative could shift very quickly.

Agree. And Holl, like nylander in the past, is the hero of the counter-narrative, so that tends to move votes. Reliable, well regarded defensive minute eating players aren't going to stand out generally. It's almost like two votes are needed - top6+goalie and bottom6+defense. This was fun...

Lots of places for Dubas to land if he doesn't get an extension/doesn't accept an extension. I imagine he'd be a pretty hot commodity.

Dubas misfired pretty badly on Mrazek (I hated that move immediately after the signing was announced) and Murray, but he hit the mark on Samsonov. And he's been adept at getting rid of his mistakes, so hard to get too down on him considering mid-range goalie guesswork is just that.

I don't think Murray's stats are particularly good. .903/3.02 isn't exactly lighting the league on fire.
