That's actually a pretty good lineup. Still, I'd be interested in a Parayko type for the back end, or at least some sort of substantial upgrade on D. I'm really not sold on McCabe, or Schenn as a full season top 4. I still look enviously at the Chykrun deal the sens made.

All I can say is that you'd make another team exceptionally happy to have a selke candidate that's led the team in points for the last 5 seasons fall in their lap for a non-elite quantity return. If Nylander can cover Marner's offensive production, we haven't seen it over a very large sample.

I think the difference is that the ownership in Pitt knows it's not a great situation - and would be giving the new GM a lot of money, time, and latitude. That would be appealing, I'd think.

I think equivalent to that, is to go to Tavares, tell him that they're moving the C to Matthews, and ask him to waive his NTC. He's grown on me a fair bit. He can be a bit much sometimes, but he looks like he's having fun, and sometimes that's a good reminder about why we watch sports.
