I think this new CBA will influence Burke's stand on this. Either these ultra-long contracts will be eliminated, or it'll essentially be a "stamp of approval" for them, which may force Burke to consider them.

Sigh.

So, just spitballin' here, but does anyone think that these signings put Backstrom seriously into play on the trade market?

I don't even think that this relates to a "bidding war". I'm under the impression that he's guiding the process the same way Kaberle did when he was traded to BOS. He has one preferred destination that he'd like to work out a trade to (FLA). Failing this, he will expand the list to more teams...

This may just be my brain picking this out, but I feel it's because he ices the puck a heck of a lot when he's on the ice, and you can't change on an icing.

It's amazing when Vizquel isn't the oldest player on a team anymore :P

Also, rotisserie burners are awesome. Our grill has one that we never really used until recently and it's great.

Generally, the portable ones pump out fewer BTUs than a similarly-priced non-portable one. The grill won't get as hot and it will take longer to cook / won't be able to sear as well. Also, the portable ones are sometimes designed to work with smaller propane tanks and may need an adapter hose...

Sounds kinda like Gunnarsson. Apparently he was listed at 16 according to TSN's mock draft.
