Assuming that Wilson still plans on rolling 4 lines, I'd put him on the 4th line, in for Dupuis, and leave the 3rd line alone. Brown-Steckel-Army would give opposition scoring lines nightmares.

That's part of it, but you also have to consider quality of opposition - barring injury, teams generally use their backups when playing weaker opponents (Gus' start vs boston obviously being an exception).

I don't know, their starter is pretty good, but I don't think that this Luongo guy is good enough to back him up long term. They may be looking to upgrade.

I don't see that happening. They're maxed out cap-wise and only have LTIR space. Furthermore, looking at next year, they already have 50mil on the cap for only 15 players, with all of the RFAs/UFAs being the cheap contracts (besides Huselius). I'm not even sure what we'd be able to trade for...

I agree that would be the most "balanced" set, I just didn't want to touch Phaneuf's pairing cause it's been working well so far. Though, this does make the most sense.

You know, I'm not sure what I'd do with the D pairings this game... I mean, a straight-up replacement of Franson for Komi would be nice, but a pairing of Gardiner-Franson kind of terrifies me defensively. Liles-Franson Gardiner-Schenn? Let Schenn focus solely on the defensive side of things...
