Curious, why is something like $27M of the deal in signning bonuses?  His NHL salary each year is like $1M or $2M.... he gets big signning bonuses each year. Just wondering if anyone knows why they (or Clarkson's agent) structured the deal that way. (Bozak has $2M each season in signning bonus...

Since the Lupul hit I've basically just stared at the TV in a haze. This absolutely sucks.  Hope he's back by playoffs. We need JVR and Frattin to start scoring again!  Time to step up you two.

At least I'm providing some examples.  Quite a few actually.  In ~25 games I've probably listed 12-13 guys who've scored after prolonged slumps. You're just saying, "meh, you can't prove it so move along."

Dates back to last year.  Something like his first goal in 13 NHL games or whatever (I don't remember exactly).  Maybe he's not the best example, but care to pick at the rest?  I don't see any other questionable ones. I hear Joe Bowen say "His first goal in XX amount of games" with GREAT...

SLUMP BUSTERS! Happens all the time against us.  Those 20+ game streaks mount quickly and we kill em!

Oh yeah, and 21 games into the year Alexei Emelin scores his first against us.  I know Busta will chalk this up to cooincidence or, "but I imagine similar things can be said for other teams" but I'm going to firmly believe there's a weird slump-busterness aura that is attached to us.

OH, the 1-0 loss to Boston was scored by Chris Bourque, his only goal in 18 games this year. And last week Zack Smith stopped a 35 game goalless streak...... against us. It's uncanny.
