    2015 NHL Entry Draft

If CAR keep up their play, we're pretty much guaranteed to finish 4th or 5th. That means we either pick 1st, 4th, 5th or 6th. It would be nice to eliminate the possibility of the 6th  becoming a reality.

    Leafs @ Lightning - Mar. 5th, 7:30pm - SNO, TSN 1050

It's hard to say. Bozak was supposed to be a found wallet. Turns out it was a wallet with a couple of toonies in it. Johnson is like a found wallet with a winning $30M unsigned lottery ticket in it. So in short, we found the wrong wallet.

On the plus side, we get to see the man, the legend, Eric Brewer play ice hockey tonight

    Leafs vs. the Media

As I posted in another thread, it happened on the BBC with responses to the Queen's first tweet, so it's not only a TSN problem. New technology takes some adjusting to it would seem...

    Leafs @ Panthers - Mar. 3rd, 7:30pm - TSN, Fan 590

Imagine if we had a really good goalie? No I can't.

    Leafs @ Panthers - Mar. 3rd, 7:30pm - TSN, Fan 590

There are a bunch of teams I'd be happy to ruin the playoff hopes of. FLA is definitely not one of them.

He made a great pass to Smith on that last rush.

Of Nonis, Babcock & who the heck is going to be running this asylum on draft day

I honestly don't know what they were basing it on. I'd guess it's the fact that PIT drafted in the top 5 from 2002-2006.

Of Nonis, Babcock & who the heck is going to be running this asylum on draft day

Further to my last post: Yesterday TSN (I think) did a piece on the average re-build. The Pens took 6 years and that was while drafting Malkin AND Crosby. We could only hope to be so lucky IMO. PIT didn't quite start from the same point as the current Leafs so maybe it took a bit longer then...

Of Nonis, Babcock & who the heck is going to be running this asylum on draft day

I'm not sure it does necessarily. In a true re-build the team should be bad/terrible for a minimum of 3 years. Buying picks and prospects by taking on "bad" deals is actually a good strategy in that window. Take the rumours on the Phaneuf deal. Toronto was looking at retaining salary on Phaneuf...

    Deadline day thread

I think Bozak will be movable in the offseason. Retaining $1M per year (once the Winnik money comes off the books) for the next 3 years should make him very attractive and I wouldn't be surprised to see them get a pretty good return. Lupul may actually be one of the worst contracts on the team...

    Deadline day thread

You know, somehow in my head I thought Coburn was pretty good offensively, but he's not. The equivalent would be Polak traded at this deadline (because they both have an extra season left) which he obviously wasn't for some reason. I like the guy. Maybe he has a good year next year and is...

    Deadline day thread

Yeah it's a deal you have to make. Booth must have zero value with some of the guys that have been moved for depth today.

Leafs trade Olli Jokinen to St. Louis Blues for a late pick

Maybe we were watching different players. He was trying hard, but he looked done to me. Maybe he can handle 5-8 mins a night where he's not expected to score at all. Maybe.

    5-7th I'd guess.

    Deadline day thread

Could the NHL fine the Sabres for intentionally tanking. I mean, they've traded their #1 and #2 and are now rolling fringe goalies. That's about as obvious as it gets.
