Ok, I don't know the rules either. If that's the case then they hold all the cards in the near term. It could still potentially affect the long term prospects of Kadri with the Leafs. I'd like him here long term.

Yeah I don't know the specifics so it's hard to really judge the move. I can't really recall any incidents of good young players being scratched (on a horrific team)for lack of professionalism. For bad play, lack a defensive awareness type things, sure, a game here a game there. Multiple games...
