Yes I know where Leafs PP is ranked in the league. Just commenting on the two opportunities where the Leafs just looked lazy, or maybe tired.

I get it that it's 3rd game in 4 nights but man, this team looks extremely lazy. On the PP they just stand around and watch the Stars PK unit skate. It's embarrassing to be cherry picking on the PP.

Phaneuf and Franson don't belong to the top PP unit. If they don't shoot they don't know what else to do.

Bad PK, bad goaltending, no attention to detail, weak defensive play, they make a very bad team. Honestly in today's league when you score 3 goals you should at least get a point. This 4 game losing streak, all regulation losses, has really hurt in a league dominated by 3 point games.

True. While it was a bad call I'd consider killing a key penalty late in the game part of being able to protect the lead.

Another blown lead in the 3rd. It continues to be worrisome. Doesn't seem like this team has learned to protect a lead after that epic Game 7 collapse. In fact it seems like last year's team was better at it.

Franson just doesn't know how to defend a 3 on 2. Why would you chase the man to the board and have him dish it off for a 2 on 1?! Or maybe Franson just doesn't know how to defend, period.

The Leafs make a lot of low percentage plays on the PP (or in general). Whipping passes to each other a kilometre apart isn't likely to work. They just don't seem to know how to work as a unit.

Watching a team like St Louis play is tough to take. It's a team that actually has a structure, a system, and players execute. The Leafs have looked lost way too often this year.

Definitely frustrating to see guys like Kessel and Phaneuf struggling against the big bad Bruins. Phaneuf's lack of puck skills gets very apparent when he's under pressure. But he is what he is I guess.

The Leafs are just not skating at all. There is zero sense of urgency and it looks like they're content with dumping the puck out to centre ice on every play. Very frustrating to watch and man, it's a very boring game when the Leafs don't generate any speed.

It's pretty frustrating to see Schenn trying so hard on the offensive end but failing both offensively and defensively. He's been a big liability. I know he's still "young" but he's been in the league for a few years now. He should really know better.
