Well, I didn't think it would happen, but these teams have managed to make me somewhat interested in this series.

I could be wrong, but it looked to me like Nugent-Hopkins was the player in possession when he was called for that phantom hook.

I think if the Oilers stay focused, take it one game at a time, and leave it all on the ice giving it 110% they may be able to pull it off. :)

Feeling totally blase about this pairing, I'll watch if I'm home with nothing to do, other than that, meh. If I had to choose, I would hope the Oilers to win it on the road. No ecstatic fans to deal with and lots of Panther schadenfreude lol

Well the Rat Pack moves on. As much as I despise that team, I was happy to see them beat the Rangers, and I think they deserved the win. Gotta love Shesterkin's performance, wish we had a goalie like that. Wasn't quite enough.

Not petty at all, I used to cheer for the remaining Canadian teams by default. Then the Internet happened, and I found out how much the rest of the country despises us lol. So I'm with you, from a strictly hockey perspective, I'm enjoying watching the Oilers, but if they lose, they lose, oh well. :)

Even an accidental glance, seeing Maclean sitting there with the panel, makes me want to heave. That's the last negative thing I will say today. :)

I'm not sure how I would feel about Matthews being in, after they played so well without him. Might throw off the chemistry. I recall a similar phenomenon many years ago when Sundin was hurt for a few games. He came back and they lost.
