    I don't understand why most of you think Matthews should be captain. Did you forget John Tavares is on your team? I'd imagine Matthews looks to him for leadership not the other way around. Don't confuse the team's captaincy with the team's MVP.

    Maybe "deserved it" isn't the right wording, but I have no sympathy for him.  He hit Marner when he was vulnerable a second prior.  But you're right, that would have been a better response.  Easy for us to say though when we have more than a few nano-seconds to react.

    Wingels made the initial dirty play so I have no sympathy for him.  He went for Marner's head (just as he was getting hit by Chara no less), so Kadri retaliated.  It was illegal by Kadri but I didn't think it was that bad and Wingels deserved it anyway.

    Leafs, not even close.  I don't even dislike Boston.  Never got the hatred for them that other Habs fans have for some reason.
