70 players, I expect cuts to come early and often.

That's about as big (I mean player size) of a group as I can remember. I believe most of us are wising up to what a "Burke type player" is and while "character" and "intelligence" are at the front of that description I think there is no denying that "size" (and understanding that "big" does not always mean "physical") is a without doubt at least a secondary priority for Burke and co... I mean this group is huge!

They are huge, all the goalies are 6'2'' or taller, the defence has 2 guys at 5'10'' and only one will be on the Leafs, the rest are over 6' tall. The forwards have 4 guys at 5'11'', the rest are 6' or taller.

Impressive, and how they invited all the young guys to the camp too is good, it will help them prepare for the NHL, even though they are destined for the AHL or CHL this season, I am impressed with the work Burke and co have done with this team in the last couple of years!

I'm really pulling for Mitchell Heard. It'd be a helluva story if he walked away with a contract. Although Crescenzi did too, and I don't have high hopes for him to be honest. Heard has shown a lot more offensive flair.

I didn't realize that Crescenzi was as big as he is. No wonder he throws his weight around. I must have not paid that much attention to him last year.

Well, Lombardi is on the training camp roster... so...
he's playing?

It doesn't really mean anything. Crosby is on the Penguins training camp roster and we all know his situation.

Just how the heck is Kool Lemon 225 lbs? Wow does he carry it well.

I'm just sayin'.

You have to watch games a little more carefully. He is incredibly difficult to knock off the puck, and he's been hitting like a freight train since day one.

Didn't realize Kadri was 6', thought he was shorter.

Nope, he's just rail thin. I saw him last year at a Marlies game. Hopefully he's put on some muscle and has better balance. He needs to win more puck battles.

Agreed, although he seemed to fare much better in his 2nd stint last season.

I think he stated in an interview earlier this summer (can't find the video now) that he has worked hard on his lower body strength so I guess we'll find out soon enough!

Sounds like Orr's spot might not be up for grabs;

Tonyambrogio200 Tony Ambrogio #Leafs Colton Orr says he is "fully ready to go" and "do whatever it takes." Over his concussion
