Carter Ashton in.  Seeing the potential of a new Leaf is about all we have forward to seeing tonight.  Pens obviously think this will be a cake walk not playing Fleury.
 
They lose this one tonight and you can start looking for a trumpeter to play taps.  If Ashton's in that will be interesting anyhow.

If Kessel gets 80 this year, it will be the first time a Leaf has done that since 2001/2002 when Mats did it. TEN YEARS AGO!!

10 points in 16 games... no problem.. especially with Lupul out... oops, maybe not?
 
I've been watching the Pens a lot lately.  Good special teams - in one game they scored two shorthanded goals in about a minute.  Lots of speed and grit, great forecheck.  And obviously Malkin is ridiculous, better than ever.  The other day he was knocked down in the crease and then Roloson punched him.  So he scores about two minutes later and gives Roloson the stare.  Then he scores two more for good measure.  Team wins 7-1.  Impressive.

I don't have a good feeling about this game.

That would still be below the pace he's produced in the previous 3 seasons. I wouldn't call 80 points a lock for Kessel, but, I imagine the smart money says he gets there.
