Tampa and Anaheim were the two teams I could see Franson go to.  Both have a lot of young players....Tampa has 2 1st round picks this year.  Could be only way you get a 1st for Franson

Holland is a much better player in my opinion.  Bozak is probably the biggest floater I have ever seen play center.  I don't think I've ever seen him take the body.  I would say he's a modern day Steve Rucchin riding kessel and JVR's coattails like Rucchin did with selanne and kariya....except...

Add Mcdavid to list of players who say it's their dream to play for toronto,  but will never actually do it.  Stamkos, Tavares, Seigin...at least Clarkson got to live his dream.  For another FIVE years

The orr and maclaren references may be a stretch....but he does have a point.  This is by far the softest Leafs team I can remember in the last 20 years. 

You're probably right about Franson.  I still can't understand why they gave Phaneuf that contract though...I can't imagine how his agent was able to justify how he deserved a raise from his previous contract in Calgary, when he frankly was a better player...then again we are talking about Nonis...

True, but now the leafs are going to lose Cody Franson, who i think is equally as good as phaneuf if not better, because of cap mismanagement.  Even if they wanted to sign him, they simply can't! It still baffles me that a team can be this bad, and yet have a payroll as high or higher than most...

It probably more my disdain for Phaneuf....but I just think back to when Brian Campbell was traded to Florida.  Similar cap hit to Phaneuf,  probably equal as a player (both overpaid) and Chicago got Rostislav Olesz.  Im hoping a deal for Phaneuf will be along those lines where the win in the...
