    I can see Burkes point on not getting taken in the Free Agent frenzy or not wanting Long term contracts but Parise and or Suter are eceptions. Leafs need an impact player. Parise if not both could be that type of player, one that one should make exceptions for.

    I do not think Brodeur is what leafs need. Bernier from LA might be a great option and rumor has it that leafs would be a choice for him.

    We don't want Brodeur when Luongo and Bernier are available. Both are longer term. Brodeur has had injury problems and could be done after this year.

    Those 6 mentioned earlier might be a starting point for Nash not Luongo. How about Bernier for say Scrievens and Kadri?

    After checking various rumor sites the suggestion was that leafs were on Parise's short list. I have suspicion that Kessel would go the other way for Nash. Wonder about Kessel. Komiserik, one of Colburne/Kadri, Macarthur for Nash and Mason.
