I admit it those stats look better than I thought but I don't think they justify his 30 min out there especially since his D is so skittish. If he was putting up Karlssons' numbers I would let it slide.

I don't think it's Captain Peanuts' fault he gets 30 min of ice time. The coaching staff should not play a guy who can't play defense so much. He is a liability for half a game while contributing not much offensively. It's not like he is Mike Green in his prime scoring 27 goals.

This team needs a few years to overhaul things. It's a mess right now and Getzlaf alone won't fix it. If you get him his contract extension will easily be 7 million plus per year. If we draft a kid he might be ready when Leafs are ready and his salary will be much more manageable cause he won't...

Just to point something out, since beating Ottawa 5-0 three light years ago Leafs only wins have been against Edmonton twice (29th team in the league) and Montreal (28th team in the league). This is beyond dreadful. Hope Burke is more arrogant, he deserves it.
