I feel bad for Clarkson. I know how much it meant to him to succeed in Toronto, but I think that exact same pressure probably contributed to his terrible performance with the team.  I guess I'm glad he didn't have to squirm on the hook any longer. I hope he does better with some more structure...

Well, uhm.  Okay, then.

I've watched a few Marlies games since Nylander showed up, and he definitely looked uncomfortable on the smaller ice in his first few games. He didn't get that many minutes at first, either.  Still, he had some good chances and generally looked a cut above the rest.  Seems to be settling in, now.

Franson tended to mix some quiet assists with some brutal giveaways or bad pinches. It all sort of just evened out to a lot of nothing, I guess. Plus d-men get overlooked a little anyway.

He owns property and spends his summers in Florida anyway, doesn't he? I know that's not always the biggest factor, but I can't imagine he would turn down the offer.

According to Don Cherry, the Leafs are losing so many games because they sent Orr and McLaren to the Marlies. The Marlies stopped dressing Orr and McLaren and now they might miss the playoffs, too. COINCIDENCE!?!?!?!?
