I think the crux of the great debate we are currently seeing is exactly what you touched on here. I personally believe the motivational issues with Kessel go much further back then just this season and have little or nothing to do with winning/losing. He seems unwilling to do the "hard things"...

Sells more hats.

Sorry, never meant to insinuate that I agreed with or sympathize with jersey tossers...just see it as another in a long line of excuses that have nothing to do with their play on the ice. (For the record I disagree with throwing jerseys on the ice during play, after play? I see it as no...

I feel the prevailing attitude of the players is that of defeated victims. Please stop booing it hurts Please stop throwing jerseys it hurts Please stop being mean to me in the media it hurts Please stop being mean to the captain/my teamates in the media it hurts Please stop  rumours around...

I don't think Leaf fans are idiots.  I actually believe Leaf fans pay for those tickets with an expectation that the players actually show some motivation or emotion during the game, and if dissatisfied, I most definitely believe that gives them right to "boo" Management and players should hear...

For me its not just the awful play its mostly, like you said, lack of respect for these players. "I skated about 3 times or so this summer" Phil said something along these lines at the beginning of the year (Im sure someone has the direct quote). What kind of attitude is that? Seriously? Even...

We could brand them "the -ak pack"

Not Lupul thats for sure...hed be on the IR for weeks.

Its interesting that you bring this up, I was just having this discussion with my sister last night. Its odd to me that I even cheer for a team. When you look right at it I became a fan of hockey because I liked certain players...Billy Ranford first then Esa Tikanen (sp?) then Messier...then...

What I would like to see the Leafs do has more to do with the trade deadline and less to do with losing games on purpose. Over then next 5 years I would like to see the Leafs become major sellers at the trade deadline, selling anything that isn't a core contract, that is expiring, for...

Did Rielly ice the puck or was Doughty?

Im probably just rationalizing because I can't wrap my head around why he always looks so lost and confused.

I see JVR and Clarkson as "stand in front of the net get garbage goal" types. (I hate the term garbage goal) With a properly setup cycle I feel both players will do much better. The problem with the rush is its hard to setup that net presence without great speed and skating ability. I feel JVR...

Have you seen the eyebrows on that guy? I just figured Id get someone who could say like "I think the rush system is very good" or "I think hes a great defensive coach with just crappy defensemen right now" "hes good with prospects" anything of the like.

Demanding evidence? Like Jack McCoy? I had to look that guy up...never watched Law and Order but I also have big eyebrows (not that big) so ill accept it. I think someones taking this a might personal considering I thought I kept any inflammatory words down maybe its just my abrupt manner...or...

That straw man...I created him very purposefully...even attempting to dismantle other people attempting to put straws in him by burning all the other straws. But hes not fake exactly. You say its nuts to argue only based on one success...I agree but its happening...all around you. I've seen many...

Sorry you are correct Laviolette then...same point. Name changes point remains. Many coaches were able to do it once then never again. I would like some one to say why they believe RC is more then a 'one hit wonder' so to speak. (and yeah I got confused because Maurice beat the Leafs then...

The reason why you're in broken record mode is that for some reason a lot of people are intent on blaming one element over the other when both are broken. I believe we can all agree that a coaching change will not make the Leafs contenders. I also believe most people would agree that player...
