I seriously think it would be great if the Leafs could more at least one of their core players at the draft to grab one more solid prospect in the say 7-15 portion of the draft. Questions: 1. Which Leaf player do you feel would be most likely to accomplish that in a trade? 2. What team might be...

What if anything might the Leafs offer to a team sitting with second pick (Eichel), along with their top pick to get him? Would say Arizona do that or you as a Leaf GM be willing to give up a lot to move up from Strome/Marner to get Eichel?

I think Nonis will be replaced by Hunter eventually, but I am not sure when the timing of that will be. 1. He (not Burke) made the decision to lock up most of the core guys to long term, big salaried contracts. Essentially saying they were the ones to build around. Obviously he erred in that...

I concur entirely

I've been totally baffled by Horachek's stubborn persistence to go with them as a trio, when they've been producing zero. I mean isn't this an opportunity to see if some chemistry could be developed elsewhere. I mean how many games in a row has Kadri ever been paired with Kessel? I'd put all...

I think you are essentially correct, they are trying to put a square peg in a round hole now. They are trying to take a rush type players and turn them into two-way players. What this guys is saying is something like 700 words or more is that Kessel looks for people to set him up on the fly and...

Thank you Zanzibar. I am not a Kessel basher. People will see I have defended him many times. But his play and attitude of late is pretty defenceless, and not him alone. Staying on the ice for a full two minutes is selfish in my opinion, especially when you are not scoring. I also don't like...

The game I am talking about was Saturday night. Ok, maybe it wasn't technically a short-handed goal. But for all intents and purposes, it was. The Leafs were on the power play against the Canucks Saturday night. Kessel tried to force the play and ended up losing the puck to a Canuck. They rushed...

There is validity to the fact that Kessel's salary appears schewed based on when it was signed compared to when others (better players earning less money) were signed. The new CBA no doubt impacted on that but there tends to be that natural progression in salaries anyway. I think the real point...

Fair enough, but he's been playing mostly with Gardiner and he's a minus 5 in the 11 games back.
