Why doesn't babcock occasionally double shift either Tavares and Matthews on 4h line?

Gardiner is obviously playing hurt, and I think that is playing a factor into some of his poor decisions.  He probably shouldn't even be in lineup because he is skating nowhere close to 100%.

Anyone else find it a little annoying that all the news headlines claiming 'Matthews leads club to victory' and there is little mention of Johnnson who seemed to be the driving force on the line all night and set up Matthews perfectly for his goal.  That finish by Johnnson on PP was unreal.

IMO, the DeBrusk knee on Kadri looks more suspendable than the Kadri stick on DeBrusk.

Three things i'm worried about for this game: 1) getting through the first shift unscathed 2) Gardiners health... if the game vs Mtl was any indication, he is still having significant back issues 3) Gauthier being pinned in his end and Bruins quickly throwing the Bergeron line out there Other...

Goat needs to be banished Sparks style... he has been horribly weak all year even with protected minutes.  We were far better off going into playoffs with Boyle as 4c last year.

Our 4th line is going great to get eaten by he Bruins.  Freddy 'the defensive specialist' Gauthier is always hymmed in his end chasing the puck... that is, when he is not falling down trying to change directions.  At what point do they not realize his skating is still a big liability.

All of our high paid offence, and not one stinking shootout goal? At least make the goalie make a good save...we hardly challenged him

Muzzin also looked painfully slow and I think Babcock sensed that he didn't have his legs out there. I'm not familiar enough with his game to know if that was his normal speed or if this was just the jitters of playing with new team....let's hope it was the latter.

I do agree with getting a guy that can play in top pair so that Hainsy can move to 3rd pair.  The puzzling thing for me is that all talk has been about getting that right shot D and we end up with another lefty?  With Oz likely permanently in press box, it leaves Zaitsev as our only right shot...

If this thread was titled Kappi vs Nylander, I would still choose Kappi.  His speed is top end and we are seeing hands and play making ability that we didn't see when he was under utilized on fourth line.  Plus he has a physical presence and strength to go along with the skill which is an asset...

Nice to see a little fight in these guys. But man to man, we have a lineup wih a bunch of lightweight. It's really hard to like our chances if we face these guys in playoffs again.
