I've been impressed with that Gaudet guy in his two games so far. Skates well for a big man and can handle the puck and seems to make smart plays.  Also adds a little sandpaper for a bottom 6 guy.

Not overly impressed with Ceci's game so far either. Hasn't been able to make a good pass yet....his play is not screaming top 4 dman so far.

There is no excuse for such a mismanagement of contracts that forces an organization to give up a 1st to free up some cap space.  The so called cap experts should have seen this coming earlier.  What a freaking waste of a 1st rounder...this really angers me.

You know, it would really suck if Kapanen becomes the casualty of being stuck with that final year of the bad Marleau contract.  This was terrible foresight by management and you could argue that there have been no tangible gains in bringing Marleau aboard in the first place.

Having your PK @ 56.3% is not going to get you to the next round and the coaching needs to shoulder some blame for the personnel choosen and passive strategy. Mind you, having a pk specialist like Michael Grabner could have really helped.
