Bozak HM - Clarkson

Good idea. To take it a step further, I would have like to see organizations penalized if their players get more than, say, 3 suspensions in a year. Take away their second round pick. I'll bet that would clean up the game substantially.

So, supplemental discipline for Ovechkin, or no? I hate those hits.

That's exactly the problem. People here are digging too deep. Good players make it happen.

Bozak - 20th in the league in points. Great faceoff percentage.  Kadri - 179th in points. Over 50 minutes on the PP. 0 PP points. Obviously Kadri should be on the top line, for the sole reason that his wingers are substandard. Mirtle take was funny to me: saying essentially that the...

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/hockey/leafs-beat/maple-leafs-get-their-quarter-season-report-cards/article21810585/ Here's Mirtle's take.. agree with virtually all, apart from Kadri, but he's been a noted kadri apologist. I was surprised to see Gardiner at a D, as it seems in most GDTs...

I'd have an "A" on the guy now, just for leading by example.

Very moving- unscripted and honest. I have a ton of respect for Burke, and the emotion was clear. There's a framed pic of the 2002 olympic team post victory on the ice, with Quinn and the boys on my office wall, where it's been for 12 years. It will only come down when I retire.

Ok, well, far be it from me to contest Corsi. It seemed that Crosby won a lot of draws, as well.

Really? I noticed him all over the leafs zone in possession, making great plays. He was dominant, imo.

Komorov HM. Gardiner - One of his best defensive games as a leaf.

I'm hoping lupul can prove he's healthy for a few games so that the leafs can move him. Would love to have that cap space available going into next year. Much rather see Panik and Leivo on the 4th line.

I wonder what the differential in possession has to be for the stat to be meaningful to the outcome.

Not that I'm mr glass half full, but if I was a leaf fan, I'd have taken an OT loss after the 1st period.

I had a veggieburger. If you put enough stuff on them, they're edible. Unfortunately the "stuff" has to be bacon.

I hope they put komorov out on the eventual shootout.

You mean Komorov's line?

sample size. Watching kessel play without the puck on his stick is just painful.

Loved that kadri hit.

It's been hard to figure out who the leafs top line is.
