Apparently Leivo is playing LW for the Marlies?  Clearly this is preparation for a blockbuster trade involving Lupul.  :D

Phase 2 is for them to get either claimed, traded, or retired so they don't take Marlie ice-time away from Broll/Devane/anybody at all. And ultimately, which is better: 23 guys all willing to stick up for each other, or 22 guys hanging back waiting for Colton Orr to protect them?

We could go from having no 4th line to having two 3rd lines. That can only help.

And especially since it looks like Winnick-Santo-Kozun will be a thing in the regular season, want to give them time to work together.  Then swap Nylander for Clarkson and you have the opening-night combos. (And when Booth comes back, depending on how Kozun's doing we might then have...

NOT ONCE LEIVO STARTS TEARING UP THE WHOLE LEAGUE OH YEEAHHHH of course then we'd probably just keep Leivo. Okay new trade, Lupul + Franson + Reimer + Kontiola + Frattin + Orr + McLaren + Ashton + Holzer + MacWilliam + Clarkson for Yakupov.  I mean, that's a lot of Giving!  :P

Oh I don't want to give up Leivo either, but trades where you give up ONLY stuff you don't want rarely happen.  And yeah, to get an ASW we might have to add some more parts (perhaps Nilsson or some such)... or catch the other team in a moment of weakness  8)

My gut tells me the starting 4th line will be Winnick-Santorelli-Orr.  Winnick & Santo will do mostly PK duty while Orr sits around and maybe loses 1 fight.  yaaaaaaaay
