So I guess the scorched earth rebuild will be picking with their 2 existing picks in round one and making exactly 0 deals!

ok, thanks...I did find it on firstrow too so I have a few options

does anyone know if there are streams available for the draft tonight?

I think Toronto finds one good to great prospect they like and build a package around that. like Ritchie, or draisatl...and then just ya know add maybe a lower pick and a salary dump

I like the way you guys think

Except that that is exactly what Strome is supposed to become.

Didn't Marc bergevin, who's team already has a Norris quality dman and a vezina quality goaltender just say that a big, #1 Centre is the hardest player to acquire? And this from the guy who drafted galchenyuk #3 overall a few years ago.

I don't mind the current setup heading into the draft as far as drafting goes. It's clear that hunter is driving the bus in terms of scouting.  What I'm worried about is who would handle all of the wheeling and dealing that is supposed to happen on the draft floor.  I mean we're talking about...

I gotta say...after a good hour of youtube highlights (makes me pretty much an expert) I think I would be most excited about marner.  Also I am intrigued by svechnikov with #24.  If the leafs ended up with another decent pick the other guy I would want is rantanen.  I haven't been blown away by...

also, would it be tough for E staal and phaneuf after the puck shooting incident last year?

Agreed. I think I prefer Strome but the more I've looked into Hana find the more impressed I am.

but in the meantime he might not even score 40 points this year.  How does this affect his ability to sign with TO...they will likely want another bridge deal.

Horachek is best friends with Babcock?

The leafs probably won't either...at least not for a couple more years. That's why it doesn't matter whether the leafs have Horton or the jackets. An injured player on lair creates extra cap space. Just because Columbus wasn't going to use it doesn't mean the cap space isn't there anymore.

well...now I'm excited!

I thought the cap was to link on ice spending with league revenues so that even the poor teams can survive in the cap business environment.  The cap has less to do with parity and more to do with allowing the poor teams to survive and hopefully thrive.  If it was only to keep the rich teams from...

sorry for no link but I saw a tweet that quoted bill daly as saying that every trade is subject to league approval and this one was approved so the league doesn't have a problem with it.

lupul just said the other day that he won't be back to 100% the rest of this season.  They should just have him go home and show up again next year.

pete getting a little desperate?

best case scenario for everyone involved...leafs win the draft lottery. Mcdavid to the leafs eichel to the sabres same division and theres your next generation ovie/crosby thing would be pretty sweet.
