JOHN PICCINICH TOR (4th Round / 103rd Overall) Piccinich is a playmaker who has strong vision and creativity with the puck on his stick, especially when given time and space. He has good senses and a decent shot selection. Inconsistency in his efforts need to be ironed out. (November 2013)

Not choosing Ritchie is disappointing.  I sense he will develop into a very solid NHL'er and ANA made out like bandits to get him.

It will take some getting used to with Phoenix referred to as "ARI" (Arizona) now. 

Possibly 1984-86 with Iafrate (7 seasons), Gill (12 seasons), Clark (9 seasons before first trade involving Sundin) and Damphousse (5 seasons).  Some solid picks that were kept around to build with.

There is no amount of weight too large in describing this issue.  You cannot build a winning team in today's NHL unless every contract is perfect; every dollar must make sense.  The money wasted on Clarkson as a useless player also means you don't have that money any more for the other player(s)...

Moving for a top 4 pick would be incredibly costly. Picking 8th will have a very good chance to land a future NHL caliber player.  Any from 5 through 16 have some real upside.  After that it seems the talent drops to potential 3rd liners.  So I am really satisfied with 8th and hope Nick Ritchie...

I've read the pros and cons of Nick Ritchie and if he can get it together and show up every night, well he'd be my vote.

Terrible decision.  RC has tried to fix this team and it has not happened. More of the same for next year!!

What style is Quenneville?  He has some qualities to last since 2008 with Chicago and has that penetrating stare...he comes across like a no-nonsense guy. If I was one of his players I would run through hell and back out of fear.
