I'll echo what's been said, Leivo pretty much should just go to main camp. He was scores better than anybody on either team. Nylander will have to get much stronger, it takes time, maybe a bit more with him. It is early, but he's nowhere near strong enough to play pro here IMO.

I'm not betting against Kadri at this point. I think he's primed for a breakout year, contract year, apparent desire to be the #1 in Toronto and he's around the age when players do that sort of thing. He may not, but things are aligning for him to take it.

I don't like the dude. I get this awful feeling in my gut every time I see him on the screen. I can't even explain why I don't like him, but it does seem kind of slimy to discredit the report one day and the very next day, agree that he's leaving. I hope they find a successor next week.

I'm guessing that the Leafs management puts a little more weight on the fact that their more defensive players on last years team, had difficulty executing the swarm effectively. So this year with all the change in bottom six and defense, they may feel that this group can now execute it...

I really like the make-up here. All the guys they signed are decent players, with higher upside in different areas of the game. All these guys and some of the ones from the Marlies have about a month and a bit to think about how hard they'll have to work to land a spot on this team.
