Your making a good point, I was mainly talking about getting Matthews was a long shot.I guess tanking will net us a high 2nd rounder as well,plus hopefully Pittsburg gets in so we can get their 1st.That,s three picks in the first 35 choices or so....not bad at all.

Coming last in the standings only gaurantees a 20% odds for picking 1st isn't all that great.A one in five chance for Matthews isn't worth watching for the tank.I,m going to be rooting for the team to win,instead of seeing a losing mentality like the Oilers having cultivated on their team.

I,m thinking wooden sticks may slow the velocity on the shot somewhat for goalies and injuries,if indeed the equipment got smaller,as well for the shot blockers for injury sake. As far as bigger goalies today,not much you can do with that.

May I put my .01 or .02 cents in.If the NHL wants to go to the scoring level of the 1980,s,why not shrink the goalie equipment to the size it was back then and make the rest of the players use wooden sticks. Sounds like a very easy solution to me.

Bernier should go to the minors and learn to play.

I wouldn't count on that pace..they are getting better as the season is going on.
