Good signing,especially if the top guys are taking most of the cap for next year. Protection signing. And who knows how good these guys can get. Seems like most of the call ups end up producing.

With the  Taveras on board this summer spelled the end of Nylander as a Leaf.  I just don't think he' s  Babs kind of player.  I'm predicting he will be traded.

Four  1st round picks for Nylander.  I would take that in a heart beat.

Might as well trade Nylander for two 1st,s and save a protected spot for another player for the Seattle expansion.

As well,at this pay level,Dubas can afford to bring in another max contract type player.

I can,t help but think that this is a great signing.To get a heart and soul player,still in his prime and from Toronto.  This is huge.
