He's been very solid since the 2nd Pitt game. He was the only one I can remember as having shown up to play in the Zamboni game too.

That Panthers PP looked almost as bad as some of the recent Leaf ones.

The Matthews line has had some great shifts this game. Much better than Tuesday.

Then an icing. If they'd scored off that draw it would have been a blown call that led directly to the goal but wouldn't be reviewable. Maybe instead of video review the NHL could invest in training their officials a bit better. The standards have been horrid this year.

It's funny how the game has changed over the years. 30 years ago no defenceman in his right mind would go into the corner like that with any opposing player within 20 feet of him since he'd know he's going to be drilled through the boards and probably out into the street...meanwhile the forward...

The guy at the other end of the rink has been even worse, and came in with even higher expectations. This game is far from over...just need Andersen to shut the damn door for the next 45 minutes.

Oh Freddie...that's a horrible one to let in.

I think it's partially a product of the defensive system they're using where the wingers aren't supposed to go out to the point and instead seem to only go about half way, but then also seem to be up high enough that they can't collapse back down fast enough to switch coverage when a D has to go...
