The Leafs are still in this series.  Their offence was stymied by the refs in the second half of the game.  The reffing was horrible.  Hopefully those refs won't be in TO Monday.

So of course Babcock puts Hainsey and Zaitzeff on for the final minute.

Kypreos suggested that it was good that the Leafs got into  a scrum even if they take another penalty.  Hadn't he been watching the Leafs PK?  And with the more penalties they take the less ice time that Mitch and Austin get.  That observation was borderline Cherry stupidity IMHO.

That could have been an embellishment call on Pasternak.  Still the call was on Johnson ostensibly in that he grabbed him however slightly with his left hand not on the stick.

Another cheap call this time on Brown.  This is a badly officiated game.

Polak with the bad penalty.  What a surprise.

Hainsey and Polak on the PK again?  And Boston scores?  Babcock' stubborn dogmatic approach to using these veterans could be the difference in this game.

After Austin's fantastic goal the camera was on his Mom who had a picture of him on her tee-shirt.  I thought it might have been from a milk carton as he has arguably been missing the past 2 games.

One thing at least is that the Leafs have looked quite good the last period and a third.  This augers well for game 3.  I just hope that Johnson  and Kapanen play on the first two scoring lines (and Polak gets benched finally).

JVR looks really slow if not overmatched.  He took another bad penalty.  This series might cost him a few million in terms of a  future UFA contract...

Why shouldn't Hainsey be benched as well?

Why not try Kapanen  instead of Leo on the first line?  Babcock seems to be such a Leo supporter when pretty well everything points the other way.  And with Babcock favouring other non-producing vets, it might be time for a change to be made in terms of his dogmatic attitude by our good old GM.

What a terrific game that was to watch.  Both Holl and Dermott scoring is an incredibly uplifting story. The Leafs with the younger players are a better team.  With Martin and Polak not playing, and Leo playing the 4th line, it seems that finally the consensus of the majority of fans was...

There was a recent article, I believe in the Athletic in which it was reportedly the case that Babcock thought that putting Leo on the fourth line was going to be a temporary measure.  But after seeing the results, he was reconsidering this. How does he keep on favouring veterans? What does...

What a crazy game!  Willy played so well and it's only right that he scored.  But I still think that Babcock really wanted to start Leo on the OT again....

Marner got sticked by Kane it appeared but no call.  And what a terrific play by Matthews which almost resulted in a goal.
