Much tighter game today and Macintyre with the shutout in a 2-0 win for the Marlies.  They take a 2-0 lead  to Rochester to hopefully wrap things up Wednesday night.

Yep they surprised us to get to the playoffs, now it is time to surprise us again by playing above the level they have been of late.

I look at this team and shake my head at how they are doing this.  Must come all down to Eakins or our fringe prospects are better than we give them credit for.

There are a lot of reasons why we shouldn't like this game.  There are those that would say we should have sheltered Reimer after a shutout and keep him stoked heading into the playoffs.  The line combos are kind of whack with Colborne on the 2nd line, Kostka again playing.  What it comes down...

Bad wagon, Reimer and Kessel are the only reason we ever had a wagon, there is a lot to be fixed for this team to prove anything come the playoffs.

You know how you get those games where your just going to lose no matter what, it is like the hockey gods determine it.  Well this year we had too many gimmees, this team isn't that good, tonight is another night that proves that.

....and why is it that one of these teams always fails to show up against the other, they both drive me nuts.

Well coming off a shutout victory, coming home to their fans after locking up a playoff spot for the first time in 9 seasons, playing a Hab team that has been struggling themselves, this is a home game we needed to get up for.  Well look at it, shows how ready this team is.

You just know this is going to end up in the worst possible scenario, heh it's the Leafs.

Almost worse than this loss is the ribbing I am going to get heading into the playoffs if the Habs should take this game.  I am not one of those fans that dishes it out but it seems like I know too many peeps that do not share that mindset.

Ok get one here I beg you.

This is just what the Habs need to erase their record against us and the past couple weeks of the season.  A spirited effort against the Leafs on the road and a game to erase any good feelings Reimer had of his shutout heading into the playoffs.  This is where Lupul, Phaneuf and RC need to call...
