I am glad Kessel only got 3 pre-season games and will not miss any regular season games, but Carlyle will need to give some protection to Kessel on the ice.  Perhaps an enforcer on the blue line?  I just think that other teams are going to be targeting Kessel. 

I did enjoy watching Miller use his face to hit Bernier's fist but it will be a major bummer if Kessel is suspended for any length of time.  Clarkson does deserve 10, but Scott and Rolston deserve suspensions and should be suspended if Kessel is.

Kadri hasn't proven anything in the NHL yet.  He needs to zip his mouth, be grateful he is in the NHL, take a short term contract from the Leafs, play his heart out showing what he can do on the ice then ask for the big dollars once his contract has expired.

Sources tell me Berger's an idiot and probably got the scoop watching TSN or Sportsnet.  In reality I see it happening, but I think Berger is a jerk and a Leaf hater.

Nonis accomplished in one season what Burke could not do during his entire reign.  By extending Nonis it gives the team stability at the top and gives the organization to fire him if he can't produce results.  The team is already better now on paper than the team that lost in the heart breaker.

The better teams were able to have 2 centres on the ice in the last minute of the game.  I could see the Leafs having that capability with their lineup.  Now to pick up a ufa or two with additional playoff experience will give the Leafs a long playoff run.

A good pick with what was available.  Nonis is doing a decent job so far, hopefully he can complement his picks with a decent ufa or two or via trade that doesn't destroy the core of the team.

When the playoffs started I predicted if the Bruins could not take out the Leafs within 6, the Leafs win in 7...hope that comes true. Win or lose I am truly grateful the season the Leafs gave me and hope the season continues.

I figure the Leafs need a responsible stay at home defenseman while Gardiner is rushing up ice.  Fraser fits that mould and can offer some protection to him in case he  gets targeted on the ice.
