I saw the quote indicating Carlyle had 1 year left on his contract and couldn't resist in responding in a somewhat sarcastic manner. I figure as soon as the season is over Carlyle is gassed.

I think most of the players would be better and play better under a real NHL coach.

Considering the Leafs drafting history if Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin and Antropov were draft eligible, a part of me believes the Leafs would pick Antropov.

Clarkson has taken some boneheaded penalties that resulted in PP goals against. Other than that he has been flawless, but his flawlessness is the result of actually not doing anything positive for the team other than wasting 4 million in cap space.

Considering Bernier has played okay as well during the losing streak.

If you replace the coach with someone else who actually has a better overall system defensively and offensively, then every other issue becomes resolved. 

7 game losing streak + 7 games remaining= 14 game losing streak.

Carlyle the defenceman playing under Carlyle the coach's defensive system would suck just as much as Carlyle the coach.

If Carlyle is such a defensive coach how can he explain the goalies facing 40+ shots most games and even when the Leafs had a decent winning record they had a negative GA/GF differential?

I can do that for him in this post and save him the two years.  Stop taking boneheaded penalties, go to the net and make life difficult for the other goalies, be more responsible defensively and stop skating like a figure skater or standing around like a statue.
