If Carlyle stays Rogers should broadcast Leaf games on the Comedy Channel.  What the team needs is a Patrick Roy type coach.

A coach with an established system that had success with other teams can make a team with average defencemen look even better, but the Leafs have never hired a coach such as that in years. I do not think they tuned out Maurice or Wilson, they just did not have decent lineups that had the skill...

Way to go Carlyle.  The reason you will be fired soon is your ability to alienate your own players instead of providing the support they need and deserve.  First Reimer and now Gardiner.  No wonder the players tuned you out.

Leafs keep Carlyle as coach, decide to do a re-build and trade Kessel, Kadri, Van Reimsdyk etc., decide to trade 1st round pick to add veteran experience thus contradicting the re-build mentality.  The 1st round pick ends up #1 overall pick who goes on to score 50 goals for another team.

Shanny was quoted on TSN as saying that he and Nonis will be reviewing the entire team top to bottom and will make the decisions as to who goes/stays after the review. Nonis cannot say definitely that Carlyle is staying or going.  That would be downright irresponsible.

They won't but I wanted others to be aware of that when they receive responses to their posts or see posts that places the team in a better picture than what is reality, or unfairly criticizes members because of members fair but accurate criticism of the team or its decisions.

A new coach could come in and offer Reimer a peace offering.  It would mean a 50-50 split in GP but if Reimer is offered the #1 job with another team, I think he is gone  :(

Why not have a different person coach each game, but no one would know who the coach would be until the players step onto the ice?  Perhaps have a guest coach WWE style each game.  It would confuse the hell out of the players, fans, other teams and just might lead the Leafs to the cup.
