Is Reimer reprimanding Bernier for letting in two hockey pucks???  Sure looks like it.

I somehow think giving up 43 shots against the Canucks on Saturday will not go all that well.  Having said that, taking 2 of 3 on this west coast swing wouldn't be a bad thing either and we locked that one up tonight.  Saturday night will be gravy.

So now do we see Mactavish make an enquiry about Reimer's availability after watching this 43 save shutout in his own building.  Perhaps Nonis could even make him overpay in desperation.  It would be a tough deal to make after a 9-4 start though.

You have to feel a bit for Eakins.  He was brought in as being the guy that could perhaps get the most out of a young team based on how he had developed the Leafs youth with the Marlies.  It has been a nightmare thus far.

Reimer HM: Phaneuf

This team needs to be fixed quickly.  Hate to cry that the sky is falling after a 7-4 start but there really isn't a whole lot to love about this start despite the record. Lupul pisses me off as well, a guy with an injury history like his not taking the necessary precautions is just ludicrous.

I feel good about this season but I am hoping that we are not seeing a reincarnation of the 2011/12 season.  That season we started 4-0-1, then 9-3-1 before the wheels fell off and we finished 26th in the NHL and out of the playoffs.  I guess the difference this season is we haven't played all...

2 hat tricks in his first 3 games and 10 points is pretty jaw dropping from the back end in any league.  Lets see only 24 years old with good size at 6'1 214 lbs and signed at a cap friendly 600k.  You would have to think he is eons above the AHL in terms of skill at this point and should be on...

5-1 to start the season but a team not even hitting their stride yet, lets face it we haven't played that well.  Guys hurt, suspended, cards seem to be falling perfectly for once, this may just be a special season.  This was simply all kinds of awesome tonight.

If Bernier gives up all his goals this season to shots like that, that young man is going to have one hell of a season.

Love Bolland too but your right, give the ice to Kadri and lets just appreciate Bolland for what he was brought in to provide.

Soft period for the Leafs, thinking back to the game last season where we beat up the Habs on the scoreboard 5-1 and in the fisticuff dept.  Big tough teams manhandle the Habs, the Leafs look nothing like that tonight

Tough test going into the Bell Centre and taking the Habs season and home opener.  Be beautiful though wouldn't it? Reimer should definitely get the nod and I can see Reilly in the lineup over Fraser against a team where we can get by with a little less toughness.
