That was a terrible podcast in case anyone else wants to waste their time. Completely sensational and uninformative. Take-away: Mitch Marner, a supremely talented player who's been destined for the NHL for years has a bit of an ego.

Let's just admit that you can't be impartial about Marner. He's an absolute superstar in this league. Teams will not be affected by the quality of his linemates.

He was on pace for his first 100+ point season. So, gangbuster for him would be 110+ points.

With respect, one of your previous posts is you being critical of him scoring a goal. Another is you saying he likely won't net a good return. Kind of hard to take your opinion seriously. Marner is clearly one of the best players in the league. He's likely underpaid.

I mean, ultimately his personal health is his personal business. Maybe he just doesn't want to disclose?

I have to admit, both Domi and Bertuzzi grew on my as the season went on. Obviously no way I'd bring Bertuzzi back at $5.5M, but for lesser I would.  I'd keep Domi out of the two.

I don't know the answer, but if Marner is available, I'm sure some D-men will become available. It's all moot anyway, it's unlikely he'd waive his NTC.

Same. He's a special player and will probably go down as one of the most skilled Maple Leafs in generations. But I'm a bit tired of having mediocre goaltending. That would be my priority.

My take-aways: - Marner's great. I'd trade him for a goalie. - Reaves is terrible. - Domi needs to slow down his brain. - The whole team needs to breathe; stay the hell out of the penalty box. - Matthews is awesome. He'll score. - Please God let Nylander get back.

I didn't hear what she said, but I'll likely agree. I just saw an Ottawa vs Toronto PWHL game two weeks ago while in Ottawa. It was fantastic hockey.

Sometimes it's good to put things in perspective, like 500 goals. I hear some people talking like it's no big deal. But there's only been 47 players who've hit that mark. Only 20 with 600+ Only 8 with 700+ Only 3 with 800+ Matthews is only 26 years old and currently sits at 149th in all-time...
