I’ve missed the gritty defensive play of Rielly on the penalty kill the last 3 weeks….What n the world is Berube thinking when he continually overplays him??

What a terrific game again. Stolarz played superbly (finally). And the PP scored 2 big goals. And there were thoughtful posts about a possible trade of Rielly to the Penguins. What a night…

-2 so far. When will his ice time diminish or when he will be a healthy scratch? The Leafs have a hard time now getting timely goals and 44 seems to be on the ice every game for at least one weak goal against. Will the esteemed panel talk about this during the intermission? Or instead...

Wouldn’t it be cool if a reporter actually raised that point with Berube? Or the lack of a threat of a slap shot using 44 as the quarterback? Playing the same style with the same players on the PP after 4 months is indefensible IMHO.

Watching McMann and Tavares back check just before the 3rd goal was so … painful. Sure they are tired but they should get off earlier or just try moving their feet if only for a few seconds to stop the Colorado forward from having a clear path to the net. The odds for the Avalanche...

Watching Makar fly through the neutral zone is like something a Leaf fan is not used to. Why can’t the Leafs draft a fast skating defenceman?

If Berube starts Tavares and Rielly on the power play could he then be placed in a concussion protocal time out (say for the next couple of weeks)?

Possibly the softest play in front of the net by 44 this year. And the bar is very high for soft play by him. The Jets are now up by 2 goals.

Every time Tavares touches the puck on the Power Play it dies. Why is he continually on the first PP? The stubbornness of Berube is not a positive feature of his coaching tenure…

Rielly sliding away from the front of the net and Eichel having an easy goal. Cowan and Rielly out on the ice at the same time in OT? What are the coaches thinking??? Frustrating end after a good game by the Leafs playing a better team relatively well.
