    Game 7: Leafs @ Bruins - Apr. 23rd, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

You can't sell this low on Nylander.  Sure he could have buried one but his wingers were garbage to work with.

    Game 7: Leafs @ Bruins - Apr. 23rd, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

Agree with all of this what really burns is that most our best forwards have 5-10 years of age on theirs.  To just roll them 18 min and let Boston match is so bad I don't think I'll ever get over it from Babcock.  Bruins are laughing at just how easy this game was.

    Leafs @ Panthers - Dec. 15 7:00pm EST - CBC

It seemed most obvious to me in the Tampa game.  Maybe they do a better job scouting (as you might expect the #1 team to do on the #2 team) but they seemed to know what was coming at all times from the Leafs PP and collapsed just right to take away all the usual options (ie when the puck went...

    Leafs @ Panthers - Dec. 15 7:00pm EST - CBC

Haven't posted here in a while but I'm much more frustrated with the dead power play than Andersen looking human.  Sure they could use a bounce but 2/21 over 7 games in December seems to me teams  may have figured some things out (ie. Kadri doesn't do anything and can be mostly ignored, the...

    Leafs @ Wild - Dec. 14th, 8:00pm - SNO, TSN 1050

Finally a shake-up on the Hyman/Brown combo, those guys have their strengths but together it was not working, with or without Matthews.  Also interesting to see how Nylander and Marner perform in different spots.

    Looking down the pipeline

Kadri's tough, but when Bozak and JVR as playing like they do sometimes (last night) they look replaceable with Leivo/Marlies today...which is good news for the future I guess.

    Looking down the pipeline

I'm also finding primary concern on centre a bit odd when if you put Matthew and Nylander at the top-2 centre spots and Marner on the 3rd line all 4 top-6 winger spots need filling.  I guess the 'mucker' spots are easier to fill but you still need 2 high-quality wingers, they'd need to be...

    Polak signs 1x1.1

Wow hopefully this is to sit in the press box mostly so Rosen can go down to get more minutes/games in AHL and Borgman can get into all the games?

    Preseason: sens @ Leafs - Sept. 19th, 7:30pm - TSN, TSN 1050

True when you have 12 waiver-eligible forwards and 6 D-men plus the locked in big 3 sophomores just how good would a waiver-exempt player have to be to make it?  For example a D-man like Dermott or Borgman doesn't just have to play better than Marincin or Carrick they have to be lights out to...

    The Lupul Situation

That came up on one of the panels I watched...there's a lot of glass houses around the league for anyone to be throwing any stones at the Leafs over this.

    Media Thread

It said pretty clearly just first year is at 30% discount.  Seems the lock-in rate would be the rate without the discount which would be $6/month, I don't know how that compares to what you got

2017-18 Toronto Maple Leafs - General Discussion

The cap is an issue here too, with the AAV of the contract and front-loading.  The only way it could really work is if there was absolutely no front-loading, and I think the league would still want more in return (ie. if players get an out then teams might want an out...).  It's all give and...
