Get allllll the 7ths

Just looked at his draft year and Leafs could have taken Kevin Labanc in the next round.  Mr $1M for 1 year deal with 56 points.

The Babcock ship has sailed for me, still can't believe he'll be back. I know we poke fun but it's not funny, his decision making has been ridiculous and if his curious decision making continues it will be a colossal piss off.

I, sir, couldnít agree more.  :)

Chris Johnston predicted on SDP the day after clean-up that Auston Matthews has the C going into game one of the 2019-2020 season. I agree, this team is going to succeed or fail with their young guns moving forward, with Auston at the head. Three years ago it was house money, two the sophomore year and I'd last year the window began in earnest. Next year I believe to be a pivotal year. If Babs doesn't get on board with riding them I'd say it's his last year. Should be exciting!

Iím still surprised we got something for an expiring right for a player that didnít want to be here anymore. I guess St. Louis didnít want to wait until August.

Joshua has signed a two-year ELC with St. Louis.

"Future Considerations" is pushing the definition of "getting something" to its breaking point.

Like Johnny Mac getting traded for future considerations and then later getting traded back to the Jays for the same?

Why? Ultimately you're getting something. If it was, say, getting something "good", then sure, mock all you want.

I was being sort of semi-serious there but if you'd like to get into it then the way I understand what "future considerations" means is that it can basically be anything which may or may not mean that the Leafs get anything tangible. Like, for instance, it could be something as ridiculous as "If Joshua leads the NHL in scoring the next 4 years straight then the Leafs can swap 7th round picks with the Blues in the 2025 draft".

Huh, I guess I figured it was more like the PTBNL in baseball, but that actually entails, ultimately, the naming of a player. Thanks a lot Herman!!  >:(

Itís an IOU from Doug Armstrong. Itís not literally something yet, but still north of nothing.

At next year's draft, instead of the customary handshakes Dubas and crew are getting hugs.

Thatís a significant upgrade.

It's not Cup favourites. It's conference favourites. The Leafs are 7-1 to win the East. The Jets and Blues are 7-1 to win the west.

It's not even that. They're still behind the Lightning.
