Can we just take all the Swedes and hope one pans out?

http://www.mynhldraft.com/2018-draft/2018-nhl-draft-rankings

A collection of draft rankings by draft rankers.

Isac Lundestrom (left shot C/RW) seems to be in everyone's top 30 but sometimes 10, sometimes low 20s.

Jonatan Berggren might be a sleeper pick in the 1st round.
I read nothing but good things about Berggren. Some even say he's just as good as Lundestrom. It will be interesting to see where he goes.

With the Sharks and Penguins all falling this round, Mirtle thinks we have the 25th pick. so does CapFriendly.

Crap, the Ducks pick 23rd and with their history at the draft a good defenseman will be gone :(

But don't trade up with the Ducks.

Well, with Dubas and Hunter at the helm I'm less worried about it than with Burke/Nonis

Is this a good outcome for us?

If they both progressed to rd 3, we could have picked 23.

Had a chance yesterday to take in the OHL championship game in Hamilton.

Hamilton came into the game up 3-2 against Kyle Dubas' ex-team, The Soo Greyhounds.

Great game, and the Bulldogs are the OHL champs after a well fought 5-4 game.  I have never seen FirstOntario Centre (Copps) so loud and full...they say there were 8600 people there.

From a guy that used to go watch the AHL Bulldogs play there, that's about 5 times the crowd.  Good to see this result and attendance, as Andlauer is lobbying for a new rink.

I get why the AHL can be a tough draw so I think it's a very good thing for Hamilton to emerge as a big deal OHL city on the level of London.
