They (the Leafs)are the world's most valuable (& richest) hockey team/franchise.

Not to be confused with the Montreal Canadiens, dubbed one of the world's most successful sports franchise with 24 (Stanley Cup) championships.
First are the Yankees with 26 championships.



North American sports franchises (Top 16) -- Leafs are 16th on the list

If you take the year the Habs won the Cup and take on all the following seasons, the Leafs still have more playoff rounds under their belt, even with the dark days of the salary cap era.
