Carlyle on Reimer:
“He gave us a chance and good for him,” Carlyle said. “He needed that and we needed that. It was great.

On the team:
“You tell them to breathe,” Carlyle said. “That’s our catch phrase now. You can’t do anything if you don’t breathe and that’s what’s happened to our hockey club. When we’re freezing, we’re paralyzed. Just breathe. We’ll get through it.”

Will the coach get ripped for this too?

No, I'm doubtful.  I think we can him give full credit for advising his team to just relax and think straight, so to speak.  In Carlyle's own words, the players need to stop gripping their sticks, which shows a tense team.

They dug themselves into this mess in the first place with their most recent  implosion in what should have been the most crucial last three weeks or so of the season, what every team with playoff capabilities & aspirations has been doing.  The Toronto Maple Leafs only have themselves to blame.

Now, all we can do is hope for a Columbus and Detroit implosion of their own. Doubt it'll happen so easily.

It's not hard to grasp at all. I was just pointing out the error of your claim regarding Bolland. You're suggesting that he would play as soon as he was cleared by medical and management. The truth is the opposite. He WAS cleared medically. HE chose to not play, not management. So, you're not exactly correct. It's clear that Bolland's decision was very important in controlling whether he played or not.

What makes you so sure the decision didn't come from management? Pretty sure management has the final say on whether or not players lace up for games.
