So I'm watching Fleabag on vacation right now and I'm not really connecting with the show like I thought I would. I generally like most things British, maybe I'm just confused as to what I should feel for the show/characters? Not sure....

How far in are you?

I don't hate everyone, but I dislike everyone, so I guess close it enough?

I liked it, the second season especially, but I didnít think it was as good as labeled by many.

The themes touched on are great and rang true, but all too often she felt like an overgrown adolescent and that started to grate eventually.

The actress playing the character was great though and you definitely felt for her at times.

I sort of had the opposite feeling where while I found that stuff with the main character was great, there was a real problem in writing some of the other characters. Outside of the Dad, the Priest and occasionally the Sister a lot of the time the characters felt like cartoonish jerks(the Step-Mom and the Brother-in-Law in particular) who only existed to give the main character something to react to.

That said, I found the whole sort of conceit and set-up of the show to be really great and ultimately satisfying as a whole.

This is what the internet is really for, a history of the "Not Great, Bob!" line from Mad Men:
