Game notes
PHI
•Samuel Ersson (15-9-3, 2.49 GAA, .901 Sv%) will likely start for the Flyers
•Philly made a big announcement on Wednesday naming Sean Couturier the 20th captain in team history, a position that has been vacant since Claude Giroux was traded away 2 years ago. Couturier was out of action for 22 months, missing the entire 22/23 season, with a major back injury and returned this season with his usual Selke-worthy level of play

TOR
•Ilya Samsonov (10-4-6, 3.26 GAA, .880 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
•William Nylander has joined Marner and Tavares in the sick club, as all 3 players did not practice with the team on Wednesday due to the flu bug going around the team
•If all 3 forwards are unable to suit up on Thursday it would put the Leafs in a bit of a pickle roster space wise, and they could be forced to play with just 11 forwards unless one of those 3 end up on the IR

If someone can't go, slap their sweater and a pair of fake nose mustache glasses on Rielly.

Thankfully, looks like there's no need for that:

McMann with a hattie again! (it is a joke in case anyone is wondering)

We definitely need to see the continued emergence of secondary scoring;  McMann, Roberston, Domi and hopefully Bert will see the back of the net sometime soon. Also hope Liljegren can secure a top 4 job. Its his to grab.

Nice interview by Duthie there with the man who survived the neck cut.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

The Flyers don't have the talent of the Leafs, but they work hard.  It's interesting to see how they do against good teams.

Team looks pretty much out of it so far. Like...the big boys are back in the lineup so we can let off the gas. Typical.
